Aside from the museum, the MCRD San Diego Command Depot is also home to a Drill Instructor’s School for the Western Recruiting Region, the Maritime Safety and Security Team and the Pacific Area Tactical Law Enforcement Team. Each year, about 20,000 recruits are trained at the MCRD San Diego. Many of these recruits will return to the depot for graduation.
