Tecolote Shores is located at 1740 E Mission Bay Dr., San Diego, CA 92109. The eastern end of Mission Bay. This area is home to many activities and amenities. It is a popular destination for families and people in the San Diego area. The park features a sand beach, picnic areas, and playgrounds. There is also a bike path that stretches through the park.
If you’re visiting the area, you may want to consider taking your dog with you. Leashed dogs are allowed in Tecolote Shores Park during the spring, summer, and fall. However, it’s a good idea to be extra careful when in the water. As a precaution, there are lifeguards on duty at the park from the beginning of local academic spring break through October. The park is located near 1300 East Mission Bay Drive. You’ll find free parking in the area. A variety of restaurants are also located in the area. One of the most popular spots is Cafe Coyote, which serves Mexican food. Tecolote Shores is part of Mission Bay Park. You can get here by car or by taking the Bay Bike Path. The bike path is a 12-mile stretch of paved road that runs through the park. When you arrive, you’ll notice a large grassy field on the western side of the park. The park is also equipped with barbecue grills and restrooms. In addition, there are two sandy pits where you can sit and enjoy the view.
The beach at Tecolote Shores is narrow and is not as wide as the northern portion of the park. However, it still has a great view of the Bay. There is no fee to enter Tecolote Shores Park. During the day, there are no lifeguards, but they will be on duty after 6 p.m. There is a small chance of Thunderstorms during the summer. Lifeguards will also be deployed on weekends, but not during the week.
Among the most popular attractions at Tecolote Shores is the newly renovated playground. The playground is 34,000 square feet of kite-themed play equipment. This renovation includes shade structures, an ADA-compliant pathway, and improved parking. Many of the toys are kid-friendly, but there is also adult-friendly equipment for those who are interested in working out.
Another popular activity at Tecolote Shores is bonfires on the waterfront. The park has fire rings, barbecue grills, and a children’s play area. Some people also like to go kayaking or canoeing in the water.
If you’re looking for a place to stay, you can choose the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa And Marina. They have 357 suites and rooms with bay views. The hotel also has a fitness center and a spa. The resort organizes live music performances and bonfire nights.
