The San Diego Automotive Museum is located at 2080 Pan American Plaza, San Diego, CA 92101. In Balboa Park and features a large collection of cars and motorcycles. The California Automobile Museum in Sacramento is an interesting place to visit if you love cars. This museum features a variety of historic and modern vehicles, as well as its own racetrack. There are even free rides on the car track on weekends. If you’re a fan of hot rods, you’ll be glad to know that this museum has a number of retro models.
Another museum that has an impressive collection of classic and custom cars is the Woodland Automobile Display in Victorville. This museum is one of the best collections of classic and vintage cars in the United States.
Another unique auto museum is the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. This museum has a collection of about 50 classic cars. A model railroad museum is another great attraction that you should consider visiting. The museum has an interactive toy train gallery, as well as life-like scenery. Featuring a 42 by 44 foot permanent layout, this museum also offers a number of miniature models.
The California State Railroad Museum has a number of steam locomotives. There are 19 models dating back from 1862 to 1944. They also offer a replica of the Pacific Desert Lines, which includes a detailed Santa Fe Depot and Carlsbad Power Plant.
If you are a car fan, you will want to check out Louie Mattar’s Car. This vehicle was designed by Louis Mattar, who broke the world record for cross-country endurance in 1947. Although it has a few quirky features, this car is a must-see for any car enthusiast.
The Marconi Automotive Museum and Foundation for Kids is a nonprofit organization that has a wide range of cars on display. Some of the vehicles are donated. Others are loaned by the museum. You can learn about the history of the vehicles on display at the museum, as well as the origins of the company. Additionally, the museum donates a portion of the net proceeds to at-risk children’s charities.
Lastly, there’s the USS Hornet Museum in Alameda. This museum has a vast collection of racing cars and motorcycles. In addition to the vehicles, the museum is also home to a space capsule from the Apollo 11 space mission. This is a fascinating museum that is open to the public on most days.
